The President of Radio Television Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU); Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu (Magic Fingers), has assured of reviving RATTAWU training institute in the Country, to assist in the training and re-training of its Members.
The President stated this when he paid a visit to the Executive Director of National Films and Video Censors Board , Dr Shuaibu Husseini, to appreciate him for all the support he is giving the Union as a major Stakeholder.


President Kalu, while highlighting part of his Vision for the Union as the New President, affirms his belief in the Education of Members to make them more viable and ready for the task ahead, considering the challenges of technology in the work place.
The training institute the President says, will be achieved through critical partnership between NTA Television College Jos and Federal Radio Corporation training institute in Lagos with the Union.
President Kalu reminded Members, of the power of education as a tool in reshaping how Creative Content is Produced, Distributed and Consumed. Encouraging leaderships to be up and about and ensure ideas guide their governance, while embracing the new- normal of scientific Unionism where the banging of the table is old fashioned.

President Kalu promised to continue to preach hardwork and purposefulness , discouraging indolence and frivolity, for it is only through dedication and hard work will productivity improve and in-turn the Union will fight for improve welfare. “For him that much is given much is Expected “.
Responding, the Executive Director of National Films and Video Censors Board, appreciated the President for coming, assuring him of the good will and solidarity of the Management and Staff of NFVCB.
He expressed his admiration for the doggedness and commitment the New leadership has brought in, immediately it was sworn in last Month in Gombe at the National Delegate Conference of the Union, affirming the saying ” You know the future of a Union by the Quality of the Leadership”
The Executive Director informed President Kalu of a Bill before the National assembly from the Board which sought to review the Acts Establishing the Censors Board to open Room for growth.
He Concluded by appreciating the local Chapter for their Collaborative Spirit which has created room for improved Welfare and Well-being of the Staffs.
