Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, Member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, has reaffirmed his commitment to the completion of the 3km Mgbaga Road in Ebem Ohafia and the 1km Ihenta Road, which have recently faced delays.
Speaking during a townhall meeting with community leaders and stakeholders of Ebem Ohafia and Ihenta, Hon. Ibe addressed growing concerns over what many perceived as the abandonment of the projects. He assured residents that the roads will be fully completed under his watch.

“These roads were attracted to give our people access to their communities,” Hon. Ibe said. “I have listened to all your complaints about the delay. Some even said the roads would never be completed, but I am here to assure you that they will be delivered, and they will help decongest traffic, especially during festive seasons.”
The lawmaker attributed the delay to the Federal Government’s non-release of funds to contractors, which he said has led to protests from some contractors.
“It is an unfortunate situation, but despite being in the minority, we will continue to speak up and seek redress to ensure that our people enjoy the full dividends of quality representation,” he added.
On the Ihenta Road project, Hon. Ibe noted that work will resume once the rainy season ends. “The contractors will not go free; they must account for every kobo meant for this road. Once the rains are over, work will recommence in full,” he promised.
The chairman of the Ebem Youth Association, Mr. Olua Onwuka, commended Hon. Ibe for his efforts and urged him to continue delivering development to the constituency.
Similarly, the Ezieogo of Ihenta, Ezie Kalu Awa while speaking on behalf of his council, expressed gratitude to Hon. Ibe and prayed for God’s strength and guidance for him to see the road projects to completion.
