The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has secured an offer of specialised training for up to 5,000 Nigerian police personnel following security cooperation discussions with Italian authorities during his working visit to Italy. The proposed training will focus on counter-insurgency, intelligence-led operations and tackling terrorism, kidnapping, arms trafficking and other security threats, particularly in rural and forested areas.
