In a powerful show of support, HRH Eze Bobby Aguocha, Chairman of Royal Renaissance, “the integrity group,” and grand patron of Ezenaebiri, has publicly endorsed the recent petition by Hon. Obinna Aguocha to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, regarding the urgent health crisis facing detained IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

‎Rep. Obi Aguocha, who chairs the House Committee on Monitoring and Evaluation, raised alarm in two letters dated August 27, 2025, describing Kanu’s condition as “life-threatening” due to multiple organ insufficiency. He warned that continued detention without timely medical intervention risks a humanitarian disaster and violates Nigeria’s constitutional obligations.

‎HRH Eze Bobby Aguocha echoed these concerns, urging national leaders to act swiftly. “The reports of Mazi Kanu’s deteriorating health are deeply troubling to all who value human dignity and justice,” he stated. “Our nation must not allow any individual to suffer needlessly or be denied their fundamental rights. This is a test of our humanity and the integrity of our institutions.”

‎He called on President Tinubu and the Attorney General to prioritize compassion and uphold the rule of law by ensuring Kanu receives immediate medical attention. “Justice, integrity, and mercy should guide our decisions—especially when a human life hangs in the balance,” the royal father emphasized.

‎HRH Eze Bobby Aguocha also appealed to Nigerians across all backgrounds to join in calling for justice and mercy, reminding citizens that the greatness of a nation is measured by its compassion for the vulnerable.
