The Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU) in Anyigba, Kogi State, is mourning the sudden death of its lecturer, Olabode Abimbola-Ibikunle, which occurred at a hotel in Anyigba under unclear circumstances. The university and the Kogi Police Command have called for calm and urged the public to refrain from speculation as investigations continue. In a statement issued in Lokoja, PAAU Registrar Yahaya Alilu described the incident as “tragic and disturbing” and called for a thorough probe into the cause and circumstances of the lecturer’s death.
