Imo, Kogi, Bayelsa Off Season Elections, Why Expect Fairness, Peace, When ‘Snatch It And Run With It’ Is In The Saddle?

I'm beginning to believe that we suffer from gross selective amnesia as a nation. I have read befuddling wistfulness manifest in many commentaries about possible free, fair, and credible polls in Bayelsa, Kogi, and Imo. And I wonder who did it. Are you not aware that the morning tells largely what the day will be like? Ohanaeze Ndigbo Insists: Peter Obi’s Pursuit of a New Nigeria Transcends Ethnic Boundaries

Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex socio-cultural organization representing the Igbo people, vehemently asserts that the Labour Party's Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, did not contest the 2023 elections solely as an Igbo man or on Igbo platforms. Rather, his candidacy was driven by his vision for a new and prosperous Nigeria, one that transcends ethnic divisions and fosters unity among all Nigerians. Ohanaeze Ndigbo acknowledges Mr. Obi's acceptance of the Supreme Court's judgment against his appeal on the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) verdict, which declared President Tinubu as the rightful winner of the 2023 Presidential elections. This honorable acceptance has…

Appeal Court overturns Tribunal’s decision, upholds Ibe Okwara’s election victory.

The Court of Appeal in Lagos has overturned the decision of the National Assembly Election Tribunal in Umuahia that declared Daniel Okeke of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the last election in Abia State's Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency. A tribunal panel led by Justice Adeyinka Aderebgbe sacked the member representing the Arochukwu/Ohafia federal constituency, Hon. Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa, for non-compliance with the Electoral Act 2022, in response to a petition filed by the All Progressives Congress candidate in the election, Chief Daniel Okeke. However, the Appeal Court has overturned the ruling.
