Smartphones to use a universal charger from 2024

The EU parliament on Tuesday passed a new law requiring USB-C to be the single charger standard for all new smartphones, tablets, and cameras from late 2024. The measure, which EU lawmakers adopted with a vote of 602 in favor, and 13 against, will — in Europe at least — push Apple to drop its outdated Lightning port on its iPhones for the USB-C one already used by many of its competitors. NDLEA arrests ‘largest single seizure of cocaine in Nigerian history

Emotions were betrayed this week as the Lagos State government auctioned vehicles that were forfeited. At least 134 vehicles confiscated for various traffic offences were up for sale. NNPC to sign gas pipeline agreement with Morocco

the Nigerian National Oil Company (NNPC) Limited said it will sign agreements on the gas pipeline project with Morocco’s National Office for Hydrocarbons and Mines and the ECOWAS Commission on Thursday. NNPCL said the deal is expected to boost the implementation of the 7,000 km Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline project. The Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline was proposed in a December 2016 agreement between the NNPC and the Moroccan National Office for Hydrocarbons and Mines (Junta Nacional de Hidrocarburos y Minas).
