Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala gets another International appointment with WHO

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has appointed Nigeria’s former Finance Minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as Special Envoy for the newly inaugurated Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator. Ngozi is to serve alongside British business executive, Sir Andrew Witty in the same capacity, to mobilise international commitment to the initiative. COVID-19: France extends lockdown by 30 days as death toll hits 15,000

French President, Emmanuel Macron has announced that the nationwide lockdown imposed over the Coronavirus disease will continue for the next one month. Macron made the announcement while addressing the nation on Monday from the Elysée Palace in Paris. The restrictions which began on March 17 would continue until May 11 as the death toll in France hits 15,000. Macron apologized for not being prepared enough to tackle the virus. Coronavirus: NYSC member tests positive for COVID-19 in Ondo

The Ondo State Government has confirmed one case of coronavirus in the state. Recall that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Monday, confirmed twenty new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nigeria.
