High Court reserves ruling on Emefiele’s bail application

The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory sitting in Abuja has reserved its ruling in the bail application of the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, to July 13, 2023. The presiding judge, Justice Hamza Muazu, gave the order after hearing the arguments of all parties in the matter. Emefiele, through his counsel, is challenging his detention by the Department of State Services (DSS) and the denial of access to members of his family and counsel. A 76-year-old Ecuadorian woman, Bella Montoya who woke up from her coffin during her wake has died after spending extra seven days in the hospital. New Telegraph gathered that Montoya shocked guests at her wake keep by knocking on her coffin earlier this month but she was reportedly dead on Friday, after a week at the Intensive Care Unit (CCU). The woman who is a retired nurse was announced dead by doctors after she suffered a possible stroke and cardiopulmonary arrest.
