Celebrating Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s Reappointment as WTO Director-General – Peter Obi

Column, Economy, News, SponsoredEconomy, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Peter Obi, WTO

I am sincerely delighted at the reappointment of my very dear elder sister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, as the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation for a second term, effective from 1 September 2025. The very heartwarming news was just announced by the General Council of the organization. Iweala's admirable character, impressive resume, and litany of achievements in public office stand her out as a competent leader for such a noble organization. With her very visible contributions to our national development and the global community, she remains one of Nigeria's most valuable human capital exports to the world, a symbol of hard…

Dr. Kalu Describes Expulsion of Hon Ikenga Ugochinyere from PDP as a Hoax

Amos Oge Kalu, Column, News, Opinion, Politics, SponsoredEmeka Kalu, Opinion, Peoples Democratic Party, Politics

I read with dismay the fraudulently tailored publications signed by the Imo State PDP Publicity Secretary expelling Hon. Ikenga Ugochinyere. At a time the party is rebuilding, some persons took to abusing processes by publishing Ugochinyere's expulsion. Hon. Ugochinyere has remained committed to fighting injustice and sabotage within the party. He deserves accolades, not an expulsion letter. What an irony of bias and political immaturity! A party captured by internal enemies should focus on retrieving its glory rather than fighting a man working to strengthen it. I call on the national leadership to intervene and reverse this decision. Hon. Ugochinyere…

Okon-Aku: Debunking Lies Against Abia Deputy: Seek Redress, Not Vendetta – Udoeze Tells Akuma

Abia State, News, Ohafia, Opinion, Politics, SponsoredAbia State, Okon-Aku, Opinion, Politics, Udoeze Kalu

My attention has been drawn to an unfortunate publication emanating from a press release issued by my brother and the People's Democratic Party Council candidate for Okamu Ward in the just-concluded local government election of 2nd November, 2024. Ordinarily, I would have dismissed it as an attention-seeking move for political relevance, but I am compelled to react for two reasons: the publication is sponsored through a national tabloid like Vanguard, and its intent is to turn the Okon-Aku community, Abia State and Nigerians against the deputy governor due to the recent community political outcome that did not favor some elements…
