On Sunday night, there was an explosion in the Rivers State House of Assembly compound. Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State OHAFIATV News learned that at approximately 9:25 p.m., a few people who were perhaps arsonists dropped an explosive into the complex. The incident occurred in the wake of purported attempts by certain lawmakers to remove Governor Siminalayi Fubara from office. Meanwhile, more than 50 Federal Security officers have been mobilized to the site, while more than 17 security trucks and four armored personnel carriers (APC) have been positioned at the property.
