Appeal Court overturns Tribunal’s decision, upholds Ibe Okwara’s election victory.

The Court of Appeal in Lagos has overturned the decision of the National Assembly Election Tribunal in Umuahia that declared Daniel Okeke of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the last election in Abia State's Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency. A tribunal panel led by Justice Adeyinka Aderebgbe sacked the member representing the Arochukwu/Ohafia federal constituency, Hon. Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa, for non-compliance with the Electoral Act 2022, in response to a petition filed by the All Progressives Congress candidate in the election, Chief Daniel Okeke. However, the Appeal Court has overturned the ruling.

Following Tinubu and Shettima's resignations, Baba-Ahmed said Senate President Godswill Akpabio ought to be permitted to hold a second presidential election. In an interview with Arise Television, he made the call in response to a query regarding the prospect of cooperating with Tinubu's administration.
