The Court of Appeal in Abuja, on Friday, ordered the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU to call off its strike. The court gave the order after dismissing the union’s application for a stay of execution of an earlier ruling of the National Industrial Court directing the university lecturers to resume work. The National Industrial Tribunal of Nigeria (NICN), a Court laden with the responsibility for settling labor disputes on Monday, adjourned the lawsuit filed by the federal government challenging the ongoing strike of the Union of Academic Staff of Universities (ASUU). The judge, PI Hamman, adjourned the lawsuit until September 16 to receive further subpoenas. US online university graduates over 400 Nigerians as ASUU strike rages on.

More than 400 Nigerian students have graduated from N^exford university (NXU), an American online university, for the 2021 to 2022 session. The online university, according to Country Director Olamidun Majekodunmi-Ogundoyin, was launched in the country in 2019 and has since enrolled over 3,000 students in Nigeria.
