The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) revealed that 260,000 candidates participated in the Mock-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) across 793 computer-based test centers nationwide. The National Universities Commission (NUC) has officially granted an operational license to Lighthouse University, a privately-owned institution located in Evbuobanosa Community, Edo State. The university met all requirements outlined by the NUC, leading to the issuance of the operational certificate on February 22, 2024. Under the provisions of the Education (National Minimum Standards and Establishment of Institutions) Act, Cap. E3 Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 2004, the Federal Government approved the establishment of Lighthouse University.
