Enugu, Nigeria - A horrific incident has shaken the Ugbaike community in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, following the death of Chikwado Eze, a young man who was buried alive for alleged fortification. In Enugu, police apprehend 83 suspects and free 20 adducted victims.

According to the Enugu State Police Command, since January 1, 2024, they have apprehended 83 criminal suspects and freed 20 victims who had been kidnapped within the state. Among the other crimes perpetrated in the state during the study period were kidnapping, armed robbery, murder, defilement, and vandalism, for which the suspects were taken into custody.
