Mrs Fati Attahiru, the wife of the late Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru, and his family, boycotted the National Awards ceremony in Abuja on Tuesday over the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.)’s failure to invite them to receive the national honours award on Attahiru’s behalf. The Federal Government has approved the construction of the Lekki International Airport in the Lekki-Epe area of Lagos State. The Lagos State Government said it would begin the construction of a new airport in the Lekki-Epe area of the state in 2023. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the House of Representatives, on Monday, met on the lingering industrial action by the lecturers. The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU has said it would review the judgement of the Appeal Court that ordered the union to end its strike, to determine its next line of action.
