Justice Inyang Edem Ekwo on Friday in Abuja struck out a suit instituted by the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, against the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court on the secret trial of terrorism charges policy of the court. The suit, which has the Chief Judge, Justice John Tsoho, as sole defendant, was thrown out following its dramatic withdrawal by the Biafra nation agitator. Independence: Sanwo-Olu releases 46 inmates from Lagos prisons

Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the release of 46 inmates from various correctional facilities in the state. Sanwo-Olu’s action followed the recommendation of the Advisory Council on the Prerogative of Mercy. The governor also commuted the death sentences of six inmates to life imprisonment, said Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN), Commissioner for Information. 17 Boko Haram terrorists, family members surrender to military

The Nigerian Army has revealed that seventeen Boko Haram terrorists, including their families have surrendered to troops of 151 Task Force Battalion deployed to lBanki-Junction in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.
