Nine Remanded for Allegedly Kidnapping and Killing Six Girls for Rituals

Nine individuals were remanded by an Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun State on Friday for their alleged involvement in the kidnapping and murder of six girls for ritual purposes. The defendants, Moses Aruwaji, Adebayo Azeez, Mariam Aruwaji, Akinwunmi, Sheriff Agbani, Samuel Monday, Osojieahon Aijonohouria, Peter Oluwalolese, and Jamiu Yufuf, were charged with kidnapping, murder, robbery, and conspiracy. Operation Safe Haven Arrests 271 Suspects, Rescues 79 Kidnap Victims in Plateau and Surrounding States

Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) have conducted a successful operation resulting in the arrest of 271 suspects across Plateau, Bauchi, and Kaduna States. The deputy commander of OPSH, DCP Terzungwe Iyela, reported the significant achievements made by the task force. During the operation, which focused on maintaining peace and security in the region, 79 kidnap victims were rescued from the clutches of criminals. Additionally, a total of 1,161 ammunition were seized from the suspects, along with the recovery of 554 cattle from rustlers.
