Gunmen attack Anambra military checkpoint, five killed

The police on Saturday said five people were killed in a clash between soldiers and some suspected gunmen in Isuofia community in the Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State. Our correspondent gathered that the gunmen attacked the military checkpoint located at the Afor-Uzo Junction in Isuofia on Saturday. Eyewitness account, however, noted that two soldiers and four of the gunmen were killed during the bloody encounter. Isuofia is the hometown of the state governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo. 16-year-old boy allegedly rapes brother’s wife, nine girls in Ondo

A 16-year-old boy, identified as Precious, has admitted to raping his brother’s wife and nine other girls following his arrest by Amotekun corps. According to Precious, he entered the room where his brother’s wife was sleeping naked and proceeded to lay on her. He confessed to the crime when he and other suspects were being paraded at the Amotekun Corps headquarters, in Alagbaka, Akure, Ondo State capital.
