Four Catholic reverends freed by kidnappers

Four Catholic reverends abducted Sunday along Okigwe-Umulolo Road in the Okigwe Local Government Area IMO state have been released. The Reverend Sisters are members of the Sisters of Jesus El Salvador Generelate, a religious group of the Catholic Church in Port Harcourt, capital of the Rivers, south-south of Nigeria. They were identified as Johannes Nwodo, Christabel Echemazu, Liberata Mbamalu and Benita Agu. They were attacked and kidnapped while on their way to attend a thanksgiving service for another Reverend Sister in the area. Sad: Four Catholic Reverend Sisters kidnapped in Imo

Gunmen wreaking havoc in parts of the southeast have abducted four Reverend sisters of the Catholic Church in Imo State. The incident occurred on Sunday at the popular Okigwe-Enugu Road while the victims were on their way to mass on Sunday morning. The development was contained in a statement issued by the Secretary-General of the Sisters Of Jesus The Saviour, Sister Zita Ihedoro. Shooters abduct businessman, others in Imo State, kill mechanic

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Friday evening killed an auto mechanic identified as Valentine Enwerem and kidnapped a businessman identified as Aloysius Onuekwusi.
