Two S’East governors, senators are working against Nnamdi Kanu’s release – Ohanaeze

Ohanaeze Ndigbo, a major Igbo sociopolitical organisation, has claimed that two Southeast governors, senators, and Igbo leaders are conspiring against the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB. Ohanaeze claimed that those named want Kanu transferred to Kuje Prisons rather than released because of the forthcoming Anambra governorship elections. Ohanaeze Ndigbo denounces illegal Constitutional amendments

A top Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has warned against illegally amending its constitution. The group warns that these illegal alterations are intended to prevent a Rivers State President General from being elected in January 2025, the 2027 elections, and the continuance of some deviant members. These unconstitutional revisions to Ohanaeze Ndigbo's constitution violate Article 11(a), which requires the President General to rotate among the seven Igbo-speaking states.
