Rejoinder to Premium Times article titled “Why we’re yet to re-arraign Orji Kalu – EFCC” By Kunle Sanni

The Premium Times’ article above referenced is simply an unabashed distortion of public record aimed at supporting predetermined conclusions of the Premium Times’ journalist. The article falsely claims that the Supreme Court of Nigeria in its May 8, 2020 judgment ordered that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu be retried. However, on the contrary, the Supreme Court did not make any such order. Instead, the apex court was very specific in the language of its order and the reassignment of the case on appeal and retrial thereof were as regards to “the Appellant” (not Orji Uzor Kalu, who was never an Appellant…

Footage of his outburst went viral, with many Nigerians and groups condemning his reaction. In a statement on Wednesday, Fani-Kayode expressed regrets and admitted he shouldn’t have spoken in a derogatory way. A statement he…

On the early morning of Thursday, 9th July 2020, we woke up to see a scandalous brief message with chats appearing under all our online news publications accusing Honourable Kingsley Imaga of duping someone to the tune of N1Million over land. The first thing we noticed was that the Facebook account was a foreign one with a White Man's image by the name Joan Rachid while the writer alleged to be a woman from Ohafia. It raised my curiosity. In the fashion of OHAFIA-TV News and my practice of always standing for the truth, I decided to investigate the matter…

Adesina reveals why Buhari refused to deal with Wike, Fayose

President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, has said his principal chose to overlook the “combative and truculent, if not at times insulting” disposition of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike. This was contained in a piece titled ‘Wike Vindicates Buharists’, published on his website on Friday. Adesina noted that the President would have taken action not only against Wike, but former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, for their “anti-Buhari tendencies”. Wike, who was elected on the platform of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), this week thanked Buhari for approving a N78.9bn refund to Rivers…
