Government of Abia closes the PDP secretariat.

Men purportedly representing the Umuahia Capital Development Authority (UCDA) have shut the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Abia State Secretariat located at 45 Finbers Road, Umuahia. On Wednesday, the officials locked the Secretariat. The development was not explained. However, a sign on the building instructed the residents to go to the UCDA office for more information, which is located at 51 Ogurube Layout, Umuahia. The Abia State Government has refuted accusations claiming that Alex Otti, the state governor, spent more than N900 million on welfare and food programs between July and September of 2023.According to media sources, Otti spent N927 million on meals and drinks, honoraria payments, welfare benefits, and allowances in just three months.
