Rivers crisis: CSO orders IGP to arrest and prosecute 27 lawmakers within 24 hours.

Kayode Egbetokun, the Inspector General of Police, has been given 24 hours to arrest and prosecute the 27 Rivers State House of Assembly members who defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC. According to the Centre for Reform and Public Advocacy, a civil society organisation, those who defected are no longer members of the Rivers State House of Assembly and should be arrested and prosecuted. The lawmakers were charged with conspiracy to commit treasonable felony, according to the Centre.
