Herdsmen invade Enugu community, kidnap six pilgrims

Suspected armed Fulani men, reportedly wearing police uniforms, last Sunday, invaded Ibite Awhum community, in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State and kidnapped six Christian pilgrims. The victims were abducted near a monastery in the town. A source disclosed that the kidnappers took the pilgrims in broad daylight while they were praying at a popular hill near the Monastery and took them deep into the forest. However, reports emerging g from the community on Tuesday indicated that the victims had been rescued following the spirited efforts of forest guards from both the Udi and Enugu East Local Government councils.…

Unknown gunmen shoot five people in Imo

Five persons were shot by unknown gunmen while the victims were having a kindred meeting in Okporo, Orlu local government area of Imo State. This was confirmed on Saturday by the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Micheal Abattam, who stressed that they have set up a machinery aimed at arresting the culprits. NRC cancels resumption of Abuja-Kaduna train service

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has suspended the resumption of train services on the Abuja-Kaduna Train route. NRC stopped operations on the route, following an attack on a train by bandits.
