It is alleged that twenty-seven members of the House of Assembly for Rivers State have defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Assembly members that supported former governor Nyesom Wike, who is currently the Federal Capital Territory's (FCT) minister, are the ones who deserted. While the Assembly complex was in session on Monday, the state legislators dissented.
