Hon. Chidi Igwe Ukah, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Ohafia South State Constituency in the 2027 Abia State House of Assembly election, has embarked on a homecoming visit to Okagwe, Ohafia, reconnecting with his ancestral community through a series of meetings with traditional authorities, religious leaders and community stakeholders.
The homecoming, which combined traditional engagements, a church visit and interactions with key community representatives, commenced with homage to His Royal Paramountcy, Ezie Ohamoha Elder Awa Orji Udonsi, (Ebiri of Elu), the Udumeze of Ohafia.
Ukah subsequently visited the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Okagwe, before proceeding to Ndi Uka Compound, his ancestral compound, to formally announce his homecoming and political ambition in 2027.
His engagements continued with visits to Nna Okagwe and Ndi Ezie, as he extended his presence across important traditional and community institutions in his hometown.
The visits underscored the significance of the homecoming as an opportunity for Ukah to reconnect with his roots, engage with his people and formally mark his return to the community after his sujourn overseas.
The programme ended with a gathering at his residence, where he hosted followers and associates for entertainment, bringing the homecoming activities to a close.
