The governorship candidate of Action Democratic Party, ADP, in the 2023 Abia state gubernatorial race for Lion House, Mazi Chibuike Jonas, has joined Abians, Family, friends, and well wishes to celebrate the former governor of Abia State, His Excellency Theodore Ahamefule Orji (Ochendo), as he marks his birthday today.

Mazi Jonas said that the celebrant, T.A. Orji, who is also the senator representing the good people of Abia Central Senatorial Zone is a leader to reckon with at any time, a fatherly figure in Abia politics who contributed a lot to the political stability experienced in Abia State today.

He also praised the elder statesman for being the father of the “Abia Charter of Equity” that ensured that an unknown politician like Victor Okezie Ikpeazu, Ph.D., ascended to the number position in Abia state in 2015 to give balance in the rotational, gentlemanly arrangement on which Abia state was founded in 1991.

“T. A. Orji has also maintained that the mantle of leadership must rotate to Abia North from where it started, as a way of maintaining the relative peace and political stability that Abia has enjoyed for many years.

“Dr. Ikpeazu should not become a clog in the wheels of Abia peace by placing his interest above that of Abians instead of following the clear path to peace and equity that has been set before him by Senator T. A. Orji. He should allow power to rotate back to Abia North to strike balance”, he advised.

Mazi Chibuike, therefore, prayed that God will continue to grant T. A. Orji long life, prosperity, and more wisdom to continue to discharge his duty to the good people of Abia Central and Abia State as a whole.
