The burial of the late Madam Atang Iro Keke was a grand affair that drew attention to the life and legacy of a truly remarkable woman. At 98 years old, Madam Atang Iro left an indelible mark on her community, and her passing was mourned by many who knew her.

The testimony that overshadowed all others at Madam Atang’s burial was her unwavering love for God and her dedication to her Christian faith. Despite her advanced age, she remained steadfast in her commitment to attending church services, never missing a single service until her passing. This remarkable dedication to her faith earned her the admiration and respect of her community.
The burial attracted a host of dignitaries from the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria (PCN), including the Principal Clerk of the PCN, Most Reverend (Proffesor) Miracle Ajah, and the Rector of Goldie Theological Institution Rt. Rev. Dr. Theophelous Ngele Chukwu, Ph.D, were also in attendance, paying tribute to the life and legacy of the late Matriarch. The presence of these respected church leaders underscored the impact of Madam Atang’s life on her community.

The members of CHAMA Mission Ministries (CMM) International, led by their CEO/Co-Founder, Dr. Olugu, who is the Chief Mourner, were present in full capacity to mourn with their beloved leader. This show of solidarity demonstrated the strong bond between Dr. Olugu and the members of CMM International, who came together to pay their respects to his grandmother.
In the same vein, the Amangwu Traditional Leader and his cabinet also attended the burial, paying tribute to the late Madam Atang’s contributions to the community. The presence of these traditional leaders highlighted the esteem in which she was held by her community.

The burial of this unique granny was not just a mourning of her passing but also a celebration of her life and legacy. The side attraction of the burial was the sintilating performance by the legendary Paulson Kalu and other musical displays as Mama was a lover of good music.
