Chief Dr. David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex, MFR’OON (Ugo’Ena Nde Abiriba), has dismissed as false and misleading a viral statement claiming that he has withdrawn from the 2027 Abia North Senatorial race, describing the report as a calculated attempt to misinform the public and create political confusion.

In an official response, Chief Onuoha said his attention was drawn to a fabricated post currently being circulated and wrongly attributed to him. He stressed that he never made any statement suggesting that he would not contest the Abia North Senatorial seat in 2027.

“I did not make any such statement,” he said, adding that he is neither in retreat, recalibration, nor political hibernation.
According to him, the circulating claim is a lie that is poorly packaged, badly reasoned, and politically desperate, noting that such false narratives only reveal panic among those who have remained in power for too long.

Chief Onuoha also debunked claims portraying Senator Orji Uzor Kalu as his political senior, insisting that the senator is not his senior by age, intellect, contribution to society, or service to humanity.

“Politics is not a royal inheritance, and Abia North is not a family estate,” he stated, emphasizing that respect in public office must be earned through measurable results, not recycled titles.

He lamented what he described as over two decades of political repetition in Abia North without meaningful development, accountability, or progress, noting that the people are now more politically conscious and demanding real results.

“Our people are asking questions. They are demanding results. And that frightens those whose political survival depends on confusion and fear,” he said.

Looking ahead to 2027, Chief Onuoha said the election would be about retirement, not recycling; service, not entitlement; and vision, not volume. He condemned the fabrication of quotes and the twisting of intentions, describing such actions as a sign of a lack of integrity.

Reaffirming his political ambition, he stated that he remains focused, prepared, and committed to offering Abia North a credible, competent, and people-centered alternative.

He warned those spreading falsehoods to either improve their conduct or step aside, while urging the people of Abia North to remain vigilant as the next election approaches.

“Integrity matters. Truth matters. 2027 is coming,” he concluded.
