A major political and social statement against 2027; was made on Monday, December 30, 2025, as the Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, graced the house opening ceremony of Chief Dr Emeka Charles Kalu, Chairman of E.C.K. Foundation Worldwide, held at Amaogwu, Bende Local Government Area, Abia State.
The high-profile ceremony, which marked the unveiling of the edifice significantly referred to as “Camp David,” attracted prominent political leaders, traditional rulers, business executives, Clergy, community stakeholders, and the crème de la crème of society, reflecting the growing influence of the US-based entrepreneur and philanthropist.

Adding international significance to the event was the presence of the Eze Ndi Igbo N’Ghana, whose attendance underscored Chief Dr Kalu’s global reach and strong ties within the Igbo diaspora.
Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion was Dr Uche Sampson Ogah, former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, who joined other well-wishers in honouring the E.C.K Foundation chairman. The event also recorded the attendance of the Member representing Isiala Ngwa North/South Federal Constituency, Hon. Ginger O. Onwusibe, whose presence added colour and political weight to the occasion.

The Attorney General of Abia State and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Ikechukwu Uwanna, SAN, was equally in attendance, lending official prominence to the ceremony. Renowned businessman and philanthropist, Hon. Desmond Chima Anyaso (Ofuji), also graced the event. While Chief Chijioke James Umeh (Ike Abam), Chairman of Unubiko Foundation, also showed solidarity to a man of the people that Chief Dr Kalu has come to symbolise.
Described by many attendees as a bridge builder and a strategic navigator in Abia State’s political and socio-economic landscape, Chief Dr Emeka Charles Kalu’s house opening was widely seen as more than a personal achievement. Observers noted that the gathering sent a clear message of unity, influence, and readiness for greater engagements ahead.
Indeed, the event stood as a loud statement, signalling promising prospects with no sign of retreatFoundatio 2027.
