As part of activities marking International Women’s Day, the RATTAWU Women Committee in Akwa Ibom actively participated in the state-wide celebrations, demonstrating unity, discipline, and commitment to the advancement of Women.

The colourful event, which culminated in a well-coordinated march past, saw the Committee stand out in impressive fashion, further projecting the image and values of RATTAWU Nigeria.

President Kalu expressed his delight and commended the Committee for making the Union proud. He applauded their efforts and encouraged women across the Union to remain proactive in initiatives that promote dignity, inclusion, and development, while reaffirming the importance of continuous support and recognition for Women.

The event was held at the Workers Solidarity Centre, Atan Offot, Akwa Ibom, on Tuesday, 31st March, 2026, under the theme: “Give to Gain” and RATTAWU Women Committee Akwa Ibom came overall Second Position.
