Abia North COPDEM Hosts ADC Chairman, Don Norman on Familiarization Visit

On August 19, 2025, the Abia North Chapter of the Congress for Democratic Change (COPDEM) hosted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Chairman, Hon. Don Doman, in Ohafia. The visit aimed to familiarize the ADC Chairman with the Abia North leadership and strengthen ties between the two parties.

The Abia North Chapter, comprising Arochukwu, Bende, Isuikwuato, Ohafia, and Umunochi Local Government Areas, was well-represented at the event. During his welcome address, the Abia North Coordinator of COPDEM, Hon. Udoeze Kalu, praised the attendees for their presence and emphasized the importance of synergy in the quest to rescue Nigeria in 2027 through the instrument of ADC.

The ADC Chairman, Hon. Don Norman, expressed optimism about the turnout, which he believed demonstrated COPDEM’s presence in Abia North. He charged the attendees to return home with a message of victory and invite their families to join the “moving train” of ADC. Hon. Norman also assured the people that every member would be carried along during the harmonization of the party leadership in Abia State.

Other speakers at the event, including Hon Prince Solomon, the Abia COPDEM State Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Agwu Ukpong, Ohafia COPDEM Chairman, and Hon. Chidiebere Okoh, ADC Secretary, emphasized the need for members to work together as one body to achieve victory in 2027. The event demonstrated the commitment of COPDEM and ADC towards building a strong alliance and working in synergy for a common goal.

The visit marked an important step in strengthening the relationship between COPDEM and ADC in Abia North, and the parties are expected to work together to achieve their objectives in the lead-up to the 2027 elections.
