An aspirant for the Abia North Senatorial seat on the platform of the National Democratic Coalition (NDC), High Chief Engr. Joseph Nnaemeka Umunna (Onwa Abia), has expressed gratitude to members of Corporate Friends International, a social club he described as a major source of encouragement throughout his political journey.
Umunna said the support and solidarity he received from the group helped sustain him even during difficult moments when the contest appeared challenging.

The senatorial aspirant also presented the results of the NDC senatorial primary election conducted in Isuikwuato Local Government Area, which he described as the only council area where a free and fair primary election was held.
According to the result released from Isuikwuato LGA, Barrister Philips Okey Igwe secured 57 votes, while High Chief Joseph Nnaemeka Umunna polled 254 votes to emerge with the highest number of votes cast in the exercise. Hon. Chief Nnamdi Iro Oji recorded 76 votes, while Hon. Uko Nkole scored three votes.
Umunna urged his supporters across Abia North Senatorial Zone to remain steadfast and resolute, assuring them that the struggle for justice and fairness would soon yield positive results.
He maintained that victory would come swiftly and encouraged his loyalists not to lose faith as developments continue to unfold regarding the outcome of the party’s senatorial primary process.
