My dear brothers and sisters of Abia South Senatorial District,
Over the past two days, I have received countless phone calls, messages, prayers, tears, and words of encouragement from supporters, friends, associates, women, youths, and party faithful across our Senatorial District following my withdrawal from the Abia South Senatorial race in obedience to the directive of our great party.

Honestly, this has been one of the most difficult moments of my political journey and personal life. Like every human being with dreams and aspirations, over these years, I had tirelessly poured my heart, strength, time, and commitment into this ambition, not just for myself, but because of the genuine desire to serve our people and contribute meaningfully to the progress of our dear Senatorial District. The strategy was simple and unambiguous – “work hand in glove with a Governor who has intentionally transformed our dear state in a manner many never anticipated” to further push a lot of our people in the zone at the sub-lower class level up the social ladder.
I understand the pain, disappointment, and emotions all of you feel. I have seen your reactions. I have read your messages. Some of you cried. Some expressed anger. Others pleaded with me not to give up. Some have, for the second time, also FALSELY accused me of taking bribe the second time from Senator Abaribe. However, I am hopeful that party stakeholders and leaders involved in these decisions will one day tell my story that “Chinedu in any of the instances NEVER traded or exchanged the collective mandate you once gave him for money”, and NEVER in my life will I do it. Our party leaders are alive to exonerate me.
Sincerely, your overwhelming love and loyalty have deeply touched my heart beyond words.
But as we all know in politics, Party is Supreme. While this ambition was personal, the collective interest, unity, and success of our party remain bigger than any individual aspiration. As a loyal party man who believes strongly in discipline, unity, and respect for constituted authority, I chose the path of sacrifice and obedience for the greater good of our party and our state.
I therefore passionately appeal to all my supporters, political associates, youths, women groups, and the good people who believed in this project to bear with me and accept this development in good faith. I urge you not to allow this temporary setback to weaken your faith, love, and commitment to our shared vision for a better Abia South.
This is not the end of the journey. Service to humanity does not begin or end with one election or one position. Our commitment to the people remains unwavering.
Let me assure everyone that I remain fully committed to the reelection of His Excellency, Governor Alex Otti, whose leadership continues to inspire hope and transformation across Abia State.
I sincerely thank every individual, group, community, and stakeholder who stood firmly with me throughout this journey. Your sacrifices, prayers, encouragement, and steadfast support will never be forgotten.
May God bless you all richly, bless Abia South Senatorial District, and bless Abia State.
I remain yours,
Engr. Chinedu Onyeizu
