I won’t lie!
Something about Abia State feels different these days, and it’s actually refreshing.
There was a time when cities like Aba and Umuahia were always mentioned for the wrong reasons. Dirt, poor sanitation, bad roads. It became so normal that people just got used to it and stopped expecting better. Honestly, hope was low.

But now, you can clearly see a change. The environment looks cleaner, things seem more organized, and people are beginning to talk about Abia for positive reasons again. Whether you live there or you’re just visiting, the difference is hard to ignore. The current administration under Alex Otti has definitely played a role in setting this new pace.
What’s even more interesting is thinking about what comes next. If this kind of progress is possible at the state level, then it makes you wonder what focused leadership can do for places like Abia South.
That’s why a lot of people are paying attention to Chinedu Onyeizu and his vision. There’s this growing belief that with the right representation, Abia South could see real, intentional development, especially when it comes to industry and opportunities.
So, looking at where we are now, the big question is: what could Abia South become in the next few years with the right leadership in place?
