The political landscape of Abia North Senatorial District witnessed a massive show of force and strategic consolidation as the Labour Party Senatorial Flagbearer, Chief Dr. David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex, MFR, OON, led an elite delegation on a high-stakes visit to former Isuikwuato LGA Chairman, Honorable Chief Chris Ajah, at his country home in Acha community.
The consultative visit, which served as a major political alignment for the Labour Party across the Isuikwuato axis, featured former Deputy Governor of Abia State, Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu, Executive Mayor of Ohafia Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Eleanya Ojuu Kalu, and Special Adviser to the Abia State Governor on Trade, Commerce, and Industry, Chief Nwaka Inem.
The high-powered delegation was warmly received by Chief Chris Ajah alongside prominent Acha chiefs, ward executives, and community leaders.
Speaking during the interaction, the former Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu, expressed profound gratitude to Chief Chris Ajah for his hospitable reception and open-door policy.
Testifying to the stellar pedigree of the Senatorial Candidate, Oko Chukwu stated that Bourdex possesses the intellectual capacity, global exposure, and integrity required to deliver high stake representation for Abia North in the 10th National Assembly.
“I assure you that Chief Dr. David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex is not only qualified, but he can stand tall and qualified on any platform in Nigeria or anywhere abroad,” Rt. Hon. Oko Chukwu declared.
“At any table where Bourdex’s name is mentioned, it will be unanimously confirmed that he is an outstanding personality with everything it takes to represent Abia North with distinction in the Senate.”
Aligning with the former Deputy Governor, Chief Nwaka Inem echoed the sentiment, noting that Bourdex’s private sector achievements and selfless public spirit make him the gold standard for legislative leadership.
Responding, Chief Dr. David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex expressed deep appreciation to Chief Chris Ajah, defining true friendship as the willingness to make mutual sacrifices for the collective good.
Addressing the infrastructural needs of the host community, Bourdex noted that he personally observed the challenging state of the access road leading into Acha, assuring the people that resolving the infrastructure defect will be a top priority upon his election to the Senate.
Bourdex also praised His Excellency, Governor Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, for his swift intervention in commencing the re-electrification of Acha community, proving that the Labour Party administration listens attentively to the cries of the grassroots.
“Governor Alex Otti’s government is a listening administration, and that is why the electricity challenges of Acha are already being decisively resolved,” Bourdex stated.
“When elected to the Senate, I will work hand-in-hand with the leadership of Acha community and the State Government to ensure all other infrastructure issues, including the Acha road, are fully resolved.”
In his response, the host, Honorable Chief Chris Ajah, expressed gratitude to Bourdex and his distinguished entourage for making Acha a priority destination on their consultation tour.
Ajah formally commended Governor Alex Otti for fulfilling his pledge regarding the re-electrification project in Acha, while calling on the state government to expedite action on the stalled Acha road project.
He declared unequivocally that Acha community remains a rock-solid stronghold of the Labour Party, assuring Bourdex that the transformative governance of Governor Alex Otti has permanently endeared the electorate to all Labour Party candidates.
