Suspected Fulani armed men raided three communities in Kaduna’s Lere Local Government Area, killing four people and abducting 12 others, including ECWA Pastor Rev. Istifanus Dunga.
The attack occurred around 10 p.m. in Jantsauni, Mai Doki, and Maiyamma, leaving residents in a state of panic. The victims killed were youths between 27 and 30 years old.
The Federated Kurama Association’s National Publicity Secretary, Pius Agaji Kyauta, called for urgent security intervention, stating the communities are “ravaged beyond imagination” and require both security and spiritual support.
An eyewitness revealed the attackers, numbering in hundreds, surrounded homes and threatened residents, taking some away without clothes. No ransom demands have been made so far.
