The Bende Progressive Assembly has unanimously endorsed the candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Bende Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, Hon. Paschal Karibe Ojigwe, ahead of the 2027 general election.

The group described Ojigwe as the candidate to beat, citing his track record of service, accessibility, and commitment to the welfare and development of the people of Bende Federal Constituency.

In a statement issued by the Assembly, members said the endorsement followed a careful assessment of Ojigwe’s leadership qualities, grassroots acceptance, and sustained contributions to community development across the constituency.

According to the Assembly, Hon. Ojigwe has remained a dependable leader whose style of leadership is rooted in humility, integrity, accountability, and service. It noted that his consistent engagement with the people and willingness to identify with their aspirations have earned him the confidence and support of residents across the constituency.

The Assembly maintained that effective representation requires experience, vision, and a genuine understanding of the needs of the people, adding that Ojigwe possesses the capacity to provide purposeful representation capable of attracting meaningful development, promoting youth and women empowerment, improving educational opportunities, supporting infrastructure development, and advancing the socio-economic interests of Bende Federal Constituency.

Expressing confidence in his aspiration, the Assembly declared that the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) standard-bearer remains the candidate to beat in the race for the Bende Federal House of Representatives seat in 2027.

It therefore called on traditional rulers, youth organisations, women groups, professional bodies, religious institutions, market associations, community leaders, and all eligible voters across Bende Federal Constituency to unite in support of Hon. Paschal Karibe Ojigwe’s candidature.

The Assembly expressed optimism that with the support of the people, Ojigwe would emerge victorious in the 2027 general election and provide effective, responsive, and people-centred representation at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.
