Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed that his health has taken a turn for the better since he left office on May 29, 2023.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State, Buhari attributed his improved health to the reduced stress and complexities of being the President of Nigeria.
During his tenure, Buhari faced numerous health challenges that required medical attention abroad. However, since handing over power to President Bola Tinubu, he claims to be looking and feeling better. “Those outside the corridors of power do not understand the complexities and difficulties facing Nigeria,” Buhari said, hinting that the demands of the presidency took a toll on his health.
Buhari’s admission offers a glimpse into the intense pressures of leading a nation like Nigeria, where complex challenges and difficulties are a daily reality. His improved health is a welcome development, and many will be watching to see how he continues to contribute to Nigerian politics and society in the years to come.
