Director of Abia Fire Service expresses concerns over increase in fire incidents in the state
Arua Nnanna, the Chief Fire Officer of the Abia State Fire Service and the State Controller has voiced concerns about the frequent fire outbreaks in the state, claiming that multiple properties have been damaged. Nnanna made the observations at Umuahia in response to the recent fire incidents at the Nigeria Institute of International Languages in Aba, Chisco Motor Park in Aba, and Amuzukwu Primary School in Umuahia.He declared that, in accordance with State government directives, his office would ensure that fire extinguishers were installed in buildings.
