Following recent upsurge in fire outbreaks in the markets and some other business facilities, the Abia State Government has announced a possible relocation of the motor parks along Milverton Avenue, Aba, to a more conducive area to allow for ease of movement. The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the report that a woman purportedly leaped into the river from a moving boat after boarding a boat from Igando, Lagos State, to Ogun. The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the tragic incident of an 80-year-old man allegedly taking his own life in the Imota area of the state. According to the Command's Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the incident was reported by Mustapha, the landlord of the deceased, to the Imota Police Division around 12:26 a.m. on Friday. Mustapha recounted that he heard the children of the deceased shouting and rushed to their house on Watchtower Street, Araromi in Imota.
