Ikpeazu demands arrest as robbers kill Abia SSS student, injure others

Suspected Fulani herdsmen have killed a Senior Secondary School 3 student of the Marist Comprehensive Academy, Uturu, Abia State, Donald Edeh. The hoodlums also reportedly robbed motorists and passengers who were en route to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, from Enugu State. The incident, which happened at a failed spot on Ihube Road, in the Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State, threw the community into panic. 5,890 terrorists surrendered in past three weeks, says military

Defence Media Operations (DMO) has disclosed that in the past few weeks, a total of 5,890 terrorists, comprising foot soldiers, field commanders and their families, have surrendered to counter-insurgency troops in the North East. Naira declines on Monday falls to N527 per dollar

The naira extended its decline on Monday, sliding to an all-time low of 527 against the dollar at the parallel market. The local currency, which has been on a downward trend in recent weeks, fell to 524 against the greenback on Friday from 522/$1 on Thursday. At the Investors and Exporters window, the naira, however, strengthened to 411.63/$1 on Monday from 412/$1 on Friday, according to FMDQ Group.
