Nine Remanded for Allegedly Kidnapping and Killing Six Girls for Rituals

Nine individuals were remanded by an Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun State on Friday for their alleged involvement in the kidnapping and murder of six girls for ritual purposes. The defendants, Moses Aruwaji, Adebayo Azeez, Mariam Aruwaji, Akinwunmi, Sheriff Agbani, Samuel Monday, Osojieahon Aijonohouria, Peter Oluwalolese, and Jamiu Yufuf, were charged with kidnapping, murder, robbery, and conspiracy. The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the tragic incident of an 80-year-old man allegedly taking his own life in the Imota area of the state. According to the Command's Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the incident was reported by Mustapha, the landlord of the deceased, to the Imota Police Division around 12:26 a.m. on Friday.
