By Hon. Mkpa Oju Uka Former Deputy Mayor, Ohafia LGA
I wish to join well-meaning Abians and Nigerians in commending the laudable Empowerment Programme recently facilitated by Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, Member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

This intervention, the first of its kind in Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency and only the second in Abia North Senatorial Zone, is a bold and practical step toward uplifting the welfare conditions of our people. From available reports and testimonies, beneficiaries across Arochukwu and Ohafia LGAs are already putting the empowerment items to productive use- expanding small businesses, improving their trades, and providing for their families.
At a time when unemployment and economic hardship weigh heavily on our constituents, gestures like this restore hope and demonstrate what purposeful representation should look like. It is a clear signal that our people are not forgotten and that grassroots development remains possible when leaders choose to act.
Hon. Osonwa has set a commendable standard and laid a foundation for others to build upon. On behalf of the good people of Ohafia North, I appreciate this show of leadership and commitment to the people.
Leadership is ultimately about impact. This empowerment has made impact. We encourage its sustenance and urge beneficiaries to maximize this opportunity for lasting self-reliance.
Once again, congratulations to Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa and to all beneficiaries. Together, we will build the Arochukwu/Ohafia of our dream.
