The fragile desperation of some sponsored political drummer-boys in Abia State to invoke public opprobrium against the standing reputation and sweeping achievements of Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, is not only amusing but irritating.

For some time, these hackers have continued in their pedestrian fiction, petty malignancy, and delusional fantasy only to smear the supersoonic achievements of Dr Alex Otti.
Such a display of hollowness and sheer demonstration of irrationality and emptiness should not be cheered at all. There should be a red line against such pathological and dysfunctional distraction and wobbling malignancy.
Surprisingly, at the height of these uncoordinated campaigns of calumny against the performing Governor of Abia, the gentleman Governor has remained silent and focused without allowing himself to be dragged to murky gutter waters. The level of decorum consciously displayed by Dr Otti, at the height of
these locally induced distractions, shows his intelligence etiquette, sense of maturity, and ingenuous leadership prowess. It takes a mature mind with prodigious leadership coordination to maintain a dignified silence in the heat of provocation and incitement. It takes only a Lion’s heart to maintain stability and focus in the midst of adversity and coordinated distraction. Leadership is not an “echebee or nzogbu-nzogbu” jamboree but a conscious sacrifice and purpose-driven action.
There is no doubt that Dr Alex Otti is only guided by his vision, which is to provide quality leadership for Ndi Abia as their Governor without being distracted or looking left and right.
Even though I know that when functional desperadoes are scotched, in their desperation to fight back, there is nothing they can not indulge in.
But there should be a limit to reputational mutiny and promotion of falsehood. They are infuriated because the Governor has demystified and destabilised the powers of political demagogues and agents of political transactionalism in the state. He has inspired a new paradigm shift in the state and laid the foundation of progressive
leadership and political positivism.
Everyone knows that since his emergence as executive governor of Abia, Ndaa Alex Otti has continued to express his sense of direction and internal locus-control in dealing with complexities, uncertainties and ambiguities in governance, by providing an overarching sense of creativity and a reservoir that navigates and reinvigorates development in the state. He doesn’t need these Igbere-manufactured distractions and spineless malignancy. What he needs is the total support of nde Abia to focus and concentrate on providing effective leadership for them. Dr Alex Otti has displayed effective leadership so far and a high sense of maturity in dealing with smokescreen distractions from the likes of Orji Uzor Kalu. That is where I doff my cap for him. Leadership, in all intents and purposes, is concerned with fostering change while the centrality of political governance is service-oriented, not restitution and crossfire revenge.
It is now obvious that what we need is a fresh political thought like that of Dr Alex Otti as against the uninspiring climate of leadership fatigue being experienced in the past.
At times, I am compelled to marvel at Dr Alex Otti’s inelastic strings of achievements and services to humanity, all of which speak volumes in Abia State.
There is no doubt that Dr Alex Otti’s leadership style is what is needed as one of the conditions precedent in the regeneration, restructuring, and reengineering of our political culture.
