The E.C.K Foundation Worldwide has congratulated its President, Chief Emeka Charles Kalu, on his appointment as the Abia North Zonal Coordinator of the Labour Party Governorship Campaign Council for the 2027 election.
Kalu, a philanthropist and President of E.C.K Foundation Worldwide, was named among the zonal coordinators approved by Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex C. Otti, OFR.

In the approved structure, Kalu will coordinate campaign activities across Abia North, alongside Professor Udochukwu Ogbonna, who will oversee Abia Central, and Hon. Chimaobi Ebisike, appointed for Abia South.
The foundation described the appointment as a recognition of Kalu’s commitment to service and his longstanding engagement with communities across Abia.
The campaign council is headed by Governor Otti as Chairman, with Deputy Governor Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu as Vice Chairman.
Rt. Hon. Agwu U. Agwu is the Director-General, while other members of the state leadership include Dr. Eric Egwuibe as Director of Finance, Dr. Chibuzor Obiesili as Director of Strategy/Planning, Mr. Kelechi Nwaiwu, SAN, as Director of Legal, Barr. Onyebuchi Ememanka as Director of Publicity, Dr. Christian Anokwuru as Director of Special Duties and AIG Arungwa Nwazue (Rtd.) as Director of Security.
The council also has coordinators for the 24 state constituencies, including Rt. Hon. Mandela Obasi for Ohafia North, Mr. Kalu Ukwu Uduma for Ohafia South, Chief Okezie Azuma for Arochukwu, Mr. Silas Eke for Bende North and Mr. Ikerionwu Okarimie for Bende South.
The inauguration of the campaign council is scheduled for Monday, October 5, 2026, at 12 noon at the Michael Okpara Auditorium, Umuahia.
All members are expected to be seated before the arrival of Governor Otti.
