KIGALI, RWANDA — Engr. Chinedu Onyeizu, the Chief Executive Officer of the Abia Industrial Innovation Park (AIIP), is set to lead a high-level panel discussion at the upcoming Africa Energy Summit, scheduled to take place in November at the prestigious Kigali Convention Centre in Rwanda.
A globally-recognized petroleum engineer, Engr. Onyeizu brings decades of experience and insight to the summit’s strategic conversations on Africa’s energy future. His selection to chair a panel underscores his growing influence in shaping energy policy and industrial innovation across the continent.

Before his current leadership role in Abia State’s industrial transformation, Onyeizu had built an impressive career in the oil and gas sector. Notably, he was named the Best Young Petroleum Engineer in West Africa in 2006, a recognition that marked the beginning of his rise in the global energy community.
He also held key positions at Chevron, where he contributed to several high-impact upstream projects, after having served with the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), a critical federal agency focused on capacity building and research in Nigeria’s energy sector.
Engr. Onyeizu’s upcoming panel will focus on sustainable energy solutions, regional integration, and the role of public-private partnerships in accelerating energy access across Africa.
His participation at the summit is not only a win for Abia State, but a testament to Nigeria’s growing leadership in shaping the continent’s energy dialogue.
