On Friday, 9 October 2026, Hon. Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa (Oke Abba Ohafia), Member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, and his brother and political ally, Rt. Hon. Uchenna Okoro Kalu, Member representing Arochukwu State Constituency and Majority Leader of the Abia State House of Assembly, paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness Eze Ogo Thomas N. Okoro, the Eze Ogo of Amuvi, to receive his royal and priestly blessings ahead of the 2027 general elections.
During the visit, Hon. Okwara Osonwa formally informed the revered traditional ruler that he is the Labour Party candidate for the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, and sought his prayers and goodwill as he seeks re-election.
In his response, the Eze Ogo commended both leaders and showered prayers and blessings on them, asking God to grant them success in their electoral pursuits and lead them to victory at the polls.
The visit forms part of Hon. Okwara Osonwa’s continuing consultations with traditional institutions across the constituency ahead of the elections.
