On Friday, 9 October 2026, Hon. Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa (Oke Abba Ohafia), Member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, and Rt. Hon. Uchenna Okoro Kalu, Member representing Arochukwu State Constituency and Majority Leader of the Abia State House of Assembly, paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness (Ogbuevi) Mazi Ogbonnaya Chima Kalu, the Eze-Ogo of Ugwuavo.
During the visit, Hon. Okwara Osonwa informed the royal father of his candidacy on the platform of the Labour Party for the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency and sought his blessings ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Eze-Ogo received both leaders warmly and offered prayers for their success.
The visit forms part of the leaders’ continuing consultations with traditional institutions across Arochukwu.
